What is LOVE?

What is LOVE? How does the world perceive "LOVE" as? Do they think love is for eternal? Or is just a temporary feeling?

How do they handle the love for their possession, love their parent, love their husband / wife.. love of their pets, dogs / cats / rabbits / birds …. etc..

Are they only looking for someone to spend their time with? To have a companion to take care of them when sick, someone to talk to when they are down and out? Someone to whom can kill time together whenever they are bored? Is this love?

Most men need a women with pretty face, nice body, able to cook, able to take care of the young and old, able to help them in their business, understanding, etc ..

Most women need a man who is financially secured, romantic, can give in to them, humorous, generous, able to provide emotional support.. etc ..

Is this all Love? Is that what they are looking for?

We often have expectation on others, expect that our loved ones should response to us the way we want it, attend to our needs whenever is necessary. When our loved ones did not fulfilled the requirements, we will get angry and disappointed. Such feelings are normal. People failed us, and we are the people. We do fail others too.

Thank God that our God is not like us. His Words will never be voided. He always keep His promise - NO matter what.

Many couples get together, or married because they enjoy each other company or physical attracted. Feel good. They separated because the feeling faded away, or either party has found someone better, richer, drive bigger car, higher income, know how to make them feel more appreciated, more romantic. They have forgotten their first love, the initial reason why they got together.


There are some who got hurt in their relationship, so much so that they refrained themselves to fall in love again. They have phobia, worried that unpleasant things will happen again. They will not allow anyone to hurt them again. They protect themselves or shut themselves out.Is it a choice of man? Is it because of sins? Human heart changes? Temptation? Or it is a will of God that they have to go thru their broken relationship? Can it be salvage? How to prevent? Can they blame God of their wrong decision they made?

NO matter how many times, I messed up my life, God still loves me.. haha .. so nice right? Thank God !!

How wonderful to know that God love us so much, we can never fathom His love for us.. His love will NEVER change.. unlike us; we change our mind everytime. . haha .. one moment like this, next moment will think something else is better... haizz ... can't understand hor?


I pray that Lord, You teach me the way to love, to be light of the world, help Your children who lost the hope of life and those who are living in darkness, living in misery, to be able to find their way back to You, Lord. They need You. Touch them, Lord. You are the ONE who hold tomorrow. In Christ, there is always hope. Your love will never change.

It has just dawn to me that God is love, only when you love God, In HIM, you will understand what is ~ LOVE !


Not only love our friends, but our enemies as well.. as the Bible tells us :


But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. ~ Luke 6:35


And most important, Jesus commands us to

Love the Lord your God with ALL your heart and with ALL your soul and with ALL your strength and with ALL your mind ;
and, Love your neighbor as yourself. ~ Luke 10:27

"Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

"And we have known and believed the love that God has for us.
God is love, and He who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
Love has been perfected among us in this :
that we may have boldness in the day of judgement;
because as He is, so are we in this world.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear,
because fear involves torment.
But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
We love Him because He first loved us." ~ 1 John 4:16-19 (NKJV)


And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.
But the greatest of these is love. ~ 1 Corinthians 13:13


Father, teach me how to LOVE, to live my life pleasing in Your eyes, Lord, guide my steps, hold my hands and walk with me, and teach me how to love others like the way You want me to. Give me the boldness to love no matter how many times I have failed. Help me to understand Your ways, Lord. I yearn for You Lord.. for Your everlasting love forever. Renew my mind, and make me new again, from the inside out. May my hunger for You increases everyday. I love you, Father. In Jesus most precious Name, I pray, Amen.
