Money is the root of all Evil?

Money is the root of all Evil? Agree? NO actually, only the love of money is the roots of all kinds of evil.

For the Bible says, “No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise te other. You cannot serve God and Money?” Luke 16:13

All of us love money, don’t we? We need money to operate in this world, we need money to take care of our expenses, our lodging, our food, bills, education, and transportation, almost everything!

Is never enough, isn’t it?

Christians always will be asked the top-hit questions, the all-time favourite hot topic - “Hey. do you, Christians, give your 10% or your income to your Church arr? .. Waahh.. a lot hor? Why don’t you contribute more to your family? The church so rich already, you still give? Your Church very money face lei .. Temple better, all free-will one, never restrict how much you give.. Eh..what if your Pastor use your money to buy land or big houses or spend it on their own pleasure? I think you will regret if you know it.. Where does the money go to? ... ” and the list goes on and on …

They don't seems to be comfortable in this area.

There are many arguments about us – Christians giving our money to church.

Why must we pay our tithes? Is PAYING our tithes. (i.e paying bills, we don’t give our bills, right?) Reason being, we don't own it at all, is from God. Whatever we have made, our income, belongs to God. He blessed us with 100%, is not too much at all to pay a tenth to HIM, which is officially belongs to HIM. We worship Him in our offerings.. to also show our love and trust in Him. He only asks for 10% , is it a lot ?? Of course NOT!

Not only we pay our tithes, we also commit ourselves to give other offerings like Mission works, Building Funds, etc.. which we are "investing" in God's Kingdom, for His glory. We wanted to reach out to the nation who are poor and needy, saved the lost, spread the Gospel .. to those who are hungry for God Words.. for His Kingdom to advance and to bless them with what our God has blessed us with. God loves a cheerful giver. Be a blessings to others!

There are countless testimonies of Christians who faithfully pay their tithes and offerings to the Lord, they have reported that how God blessed them, provides their needs, multiply their finances, got promotion, pay-increment, business expanded, writting more sales for their company, hitting sales targets, etc ..
Praise God! Test Him, as He can be trusted. He will never fail blessing those who put their trust in Him.

"Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me.
"But you ask, 'How do we rob you?"
"In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse—the whole nation of you—because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit," says the LORD Almighty. "Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land," says the LORD Almighty. Malachi 3:8-12

Is it painful to give? Yes.. it is .. if you don’t understand the principal behind it. In fact I do have struggles giving at the beginning. However I choose to obey. My God owns the whole universe, heaven and earth. He is so rich, why does He need our money? I always debate with my fellow Christian friends and Pastors, when am still a young Christian. God knows my problems, He knows I already not enough, got no extra, so, how to give some more? In fact, I even try to delay making the "payment" .. haha ..

But you know what, is not how much you give. Remember the poor widow who put in 2 very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny. Jesus acknowledged and honored that, she, out of her poverty, put in everything - she gives her all, all she had to live on. ( Mark 12:44 )

Till today, churches have never stop preaching about this wonderful topic. We got to follow this example. Not many people can do that though.

Unequal giving .. but Equal sacrifice..

God is not interested in how much you give, He looks at the heart. He wants you to love Him too. He did not even withhold His one and only Son to die for your sins. What other things will He not give you?

“You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows our hearts. What is highly valued among men is detestable in God’s sight." ~ Luke 16:15

Do not put any earthly desires, including money above God. Jesus is the Name above All names. All things are set under His feet.

There are many people out there, who hold on to their possession, so tight, but one day, when they leave this world, can they bring along with them? Of course NOT! ALL treasures on earth will pass away. Only His Words remains..

So, what is more important?

A lot of people perceive that Christians give money to Church is ridiculous. They could not understand why we do what we do. Are we stupid? NO, of course. We do it by faith. Faith in the God, our Lord.

However, many people indulging themselves in buying 4D, toto, big sweep, soccer betting, horse betting, jack-pot or any means of getting a “quick-bucks”, they gambled their hard earned money away. They got caught in the act of greed. They want more and more, they become the slave of money, chasing and keep chasing it. They think is their “luck” that brings the unexpected windfall of fortune. While some who are not so “lucky”, got themselves in debts, that unable to pay.

~ For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. ~ 1 Timothy 6:10

Is sad, huh?

I don’t believe in luck, I only believe in blessings. All good things are from heaven.

All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God. ~ Deuteronomy 28:2

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” ~ Matthew 6:19-21

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” ~ Luke 6:38

I would choose to Love God, and not money. I am blessed to bless. Lord, teach me to be humble every time, Lord, help me to remember is You, who are my Source, my Salvation. Nothing compares to You. I want to LOVE You more.. Amen!
