better be safe than sorry??

I have heard many people advises - To be safe than sorry. During CNY, do not involve in "White" or "Red" matter, such as wedding, baby full month, or funeral.. especially something on attending wake, hospital, etc.. As all these will cause bad luck.

So, in order for you to be "lucky" .. better stay away from all these events. Whether what religion you are in, you got to be safe. Don't be stubborn or will regret.

I am really saddened by all these superstitious sayings. NO logic at all.

They concluded that we can believe in our faith, but not to be immersed in it.

I was like "duhhh??" Whaaaat?? Why not? I trust my God, God is bigger than all these things. Why must I be affected by the stupid sayings of the things to be avoided that makes no sense to me.

People around us, who will always adopt rumours or hearsay without seriously take into consideration whether, what is being said, make any sense or not?

"Why during Chinese New Year, can't visit funeral / hospital?"
"Why can't wear white / black?"
"Why must stay through out the night to 'add' years to our parent?"

Thousands and millions of why....

I only can find one answer. They are blinded and simply lost.

Lord, Open up their blind eyes, and deaf ears. Let them hear you. Hear YOUR Words and Know the truth, for the truth will set them free. Stop their own way of thinking, and replace Your promises to them. For God loves them, they shall not live in fear...

Thank God that we, Christians are not binded by all these bondage. The truth has Set us free from all these senseless rules and regulations... We only obey and trust God.. doing His will, His perfect will for us... remain in His loving presence .. forever.. n ever...
